Water Collects

My works for collections reflect on the way water collects in nature.

Water Forms was inspired by the way water vapour collects to become visible as clouds which then deposit their collection of water drops as rain. The second part of the diptych was inspired by the way fallen rain drops collect to form rills, rivulets and streams. The two pieces can be hung as a diptych or separately.

The triptych Drainage Basin depicts the way water collects on the land and the way it is channelled into ever larger and more sluggish waterways that terminate in billabongs, reservoirs, lakes or the sea.

Water Collection explores the manner in which water carves out land, collects debris along its course then deposits its load. Swirling water collects, still water deposits, in this case river pebbles. The two pieces can be hung as a diptych or separately.
