The Drought

The long absence of rain causes the soil to open up like gaping wounds and the trees that stood solid and regal become skeletons against the parched landscape.

The Fire

The fire roared down the mountain, the air thick with dense smoke. Flames leapt high, jumping and racing across the canopy of the tree tops devouring everything in its path.

The Rain

The gentle rain fell saturating the air with a strong pungent earthy smell. The gaping wounds in the soil closed and the blackness of the fire was softened with the new growth of the foliage.

The Bounty

The soil now replenished, new life abundant and the harvest bountiful. The cycle of life is complete
